The year may have started rough but that didn't keep ScalerFab Team Driver Mike Rowe down!

Never give up! Never get down! ScalerFab Team Driver Mike Rowe hits the trails at Beat the Creek!

This year has started off a bit slow for myself compared to last year. I've missed five comps do to flu, family losses and work, but Beat the Creek in Kentucky this past weekend helped the mood and rejuvenated my soul. The Hauke family and friends once again did a heck of a job for this event. It started with high percentage of rain in the forecast, but Saturday morning I awoke to a 10% chance of rain. PERFECT!!!! Last year they had two long courses throughout their 80+ acres of Kentucky hills, trees and creeks. This year they doubled it up with four including the fan favorite, The Barn. It was one of the most fun filled times I've had on the trail in awhile. I didn't care much about "doing well", I just enjoyed the company and driving every line I could find. Add in the incredible Mountain Man's BBQ food truck that frequents alot of the scale events around Ohio/Kentucky including the Team KNK TTC, and this weekend was hard to beat. There were a lot of good companies who contributed prizes and vendors on site to help with keeping people on the trails. I was fortunate again this year with no broken parts except the steering return spring in my transmitter. I'd like to thank the Hauke family, course builders, sponsors, vendors, the best food truck anywhere, all my old and new rc friends and my personal sponsors for keeping me going and upright, I roll over alot hahaha, ScalerFab and SuperShafty.
